Out of the five 2020 Jeep Wrangler engines, two have the option to be equipped with the new eTorque Mild Hybrid System: the 3.6L Pentastar® V6 and 2.0L Turbo engines. With this eTorque system, an electric motor is added under the hood, providing for a smooth stop to start transition, heightened rock crawling ability, and seamless gear shifts. The 3.6L Pentastar® V6 is paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission, or drivers can choose from an available eight-speed automatic transmission, regardless of engine.
The 2020 Jeep Wrangler has an overall maximum towing capacity of up to 3,500 lbs. and includes both front and rear heavy-duty tow hooks, perfect for hauling small trailers, campers, and boats. When we dig deeper and compare two- and four-door Wrangler models, you'll find that the two-door models can tow up to 2,000 pounds, while the 4-door models can tow up to 3,500.
The 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine is available with all eight 2020 Jeep Wrangler trim options. The 3.6L Pentastar® V6 with eTorque is available on the Sahara and Sahara Altitude trims. The 2.0L Turbo engine is available on the Sport S, Black and Tan, Sport Altitude, Willys, Sahara, and Rubicon trims. The 2.0L Turbo with eTorque is available on the Sahara Altitude trim.
